International law firm Pinsent Masons has been reappointed to
Manchester United’s legal panel following a review by Manchester
United.
Pinsent Masons was appointed to Manchester United's first legal
panel as advisers in data protection for a two-year term in 2008.
The appointment gave the firm a good opportunity to get to know the
Club better. The firm has now been reappointed with an extended
remit for a further two years.
Pinsent Masons will be advising on a variety of areas including
data protection and employment.
Commenting on the reappointment, relationship partner Rosemary
Jay said:" We are delighted to have been reappointed to Manchester
United's panel. The Pinsent Masons team has worked hard to build a
relationship with Manchester United since we were first appointed
by them. We believe we have built a good rapport with them,
possibly helped by the fact that the Club has many staunch fans
among our staff.
“Manchester United recognises the importance of ensuring good
data protection compliance and we have been fortunate enough to
work with them in this field over the last two years; we are
excited at the opportunities which will arise now we can extend the
scope of the relationship. Pinsent Masons are in a great position
to advise Manchester United on a broader range of work and we look
forward to working with them in the future."
